Design, Engineer, and Program an industrial robot to automatically scoop and flip a 40” diameter pancake. Design and Manufacture large enough cooking platform for said pancake. Project is produced by Binging with Babish channel to celebrate the anniversary of the film Uncle Buck

PROJECT OUTCOME
Develop spectacle, research into cooking technologies to develop massive scale cooking surface, programming of robot, documentation and logging of entire process for replication. Robotics programming is tackling a new problem, identification of best strategy to produce parts on small budget. Collaboration between Autodesk, America’s Test Kitchen, and Binging with banish, netting over 3.8M views on project, earned media, new interest in robotics capabilities of Autodesk, and branding for all parties involved
METHOD
Combination of design and engineering to be balanced with team management of specialists. Identifying the best way to achieve goals for all parties involved, design expertise applied to create new cooking utensils using affordable manufacturing processes and turn project around in under 2 weeks
PROCESS
Extensive research into cooking utensil technologies, rapid onboarding and training in robotics principles and programming, project initial vision was to create large cooking surface only. Robotic application pitched to increase spectacle of project and drive greater marketing and branding attraction.
